The third Quang Nam-Heritage Itinerary 2007 ended on June 30 at Cu Lao Cham, Hoi An town, with a special art performance.

The four-day festival attracted a number of tourists to Hoi An and My Son – the two World Cultural Heritage Sites. However, the biggest achievement of the festival was Quang Nam establishing close relations with localities having world heritage status – Luangphrabang in Laos, and Ang Kor in Cambodia.

This was also a good chance for central Quang Nam province to promote images of Hoi An and My Son, introduce tourism potential and share experience of preservating world cultural heritage with Laos and Cambodia.

Vice chairman of Quang Nam People’s Committee, Tran Minh Ca, head of the festival’s organising board said during the festival, leaders of localities having heritage sites discussed plans to develop tourism co-operation, promote cultural heritage and resolve issues related to visa and immigration procedures for people and vehicles travelling via the three countries of Indochina.
