Khanh Hoa hotels utilised as quarantine facilities for foreigners

VOV.VN - The south-central province of Khanh Hoa has managed to transform approximately 2,000 hotel rooms into quarantine sites to be used by foreigners, according to the provincial Department of Health.

The department declared that it has recently been cooridnating with the provincial Department of Tourism and local police forces to convert 11 hotels into suitable medical isolation facilities used by foreigners, with charges being applied for their use.

The foreigners using the sites largely consist of investors, experts, business managers, and skilled workers who have entered the country to work for diplomatic and official purposes.

Wonderland Nha Trang hotel has been isolating 69 cases, including 19 crew members whose test results came back negative for SARs-COV-2. The remaining 50 experts from Thailand have also had their test samples taken, and they are waiting for the results.

Meanwhile, Nha Trang Pearl Hotel has placed 21 cases into quarantine, including 16 crew members who tested negative for SARs-CoV-2, in addition to five others who are waiting for their test results.

Selena Hotel is also hosting 29 experts from the Republic of Korea in quarantine, while Ariyana SmartCondotel Nha Trang hotel is currently used as an isolation facility for flight crew members. 

According to the Khanh Hoa Department of Health, four concentrated isolation facilities have recently become overloaded, and the province is now seeking additional locations for quarantine in the region.
