On behalf of the VFF Central Committee, VFF Vice President Le Truyen congratulated Buddhist monks, nuns and followers inside and outside the country on the occasion. He also expressed hope that the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha will continue to promote solidarity and peace, as well as actively contribute to the common cause of national construction and defence.

For his part, deputy general secretary of the VBS Central Committee Most Venerable Thich Thanh Nhieu said that in addition to Buddhist rites, various charitable activities will also be held to support underprivileged people and orphans.

Buddhist dignitaries, monks, nuns and followers have always developed solidarity traditions and followed the motto of “Religion-Nation-Socialism” in order to build the great national unity bloc for the sake of a rich people, a strong country and an equal, democratic and civilised society, he noted.
