The World Economic Forum (WEF) has pushed Vietnam 7 places down in its networking readiness index rating.

 

According to the WEF's 2005-2006 global information technology (IT) report, the country was given an index of -0.47 points, thus dropping to 75th place from 68th in the 2004-2005 report.

 

Several other economies have surpassed Vietnam in IT application such as Argentina which improved from 76th to 71st, and Azerbaijan, previously unlisted, which now ranks 73rd.

 

The US took top spot ranking from Singapore.
