One of the key tasks of the judiciary work in 2007 is to strengthen legal education dissemination with the aim of raising people’s awareness of the need to abide by the law in the context of building a law-governed state for international integration.

The Ministry of Justice began a two-day conference in Hanoi on January 3 to discuss the implementation of judiciary work in 2007, which has been presided over by Deputy Prime Minister Truong Vinh Trong, Vice National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Van Yeu and Minister of Justice, Uong Chu Luu.

Over the past year, the judiciary sector continued to boost the implementation of a strategy on building and perfecting Vietnam’s legal system and a judiciary reform strategy.

Participants emphasised the need to disseminate the contents of Vietnam’s commitments to the World Trade Organisation as well as other legal documents which are directly related to people’s daily lives.
