The Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group (PetroVietnam) plans to exploit 16.2 million of crude tonnes of oil this year, an increase of 200,000 tonnes compared to its earlier set target.

To realise this plan, the group has asked Vietsopetro – an oil and gas joint venture enterprise between Vietnam and Russia - to increase its exploitation output at both Bach Ho (White Tiger) and Rong (Dragon) oilfields by 550,000 tonnes to 7.65 million tonnes of crude oil this year.
