The 2006 National Golf Tournament opened at Da Lat Golf Course, central Lam Dong province on June 15 with the participation of 80 top Vietnamese golf players, including champion Huynh Van Son, members of Vietnam’s national golf team, and promising players from clubs in the country.
The tournament includes four rounds with 72 golf holes. Only 20-30 golfers will qualify for the last two rounds. The champion will be the player that employs the fewest shots to complete the game.
The tournament will finish on June 18 and the best players will be selected for the National Golf Team due to compete in the 2006 ASIAD in Beijing, China towards the end of this year.
