India and Vietnam had great potential to promote and develop their bilateral relations, said Indian President Abdul Kalam while receiving Vietnamese Ambassador to India Vu Quang Diem who presented his credentials in New Delhi on September 12.
The President said he hopes that the ambassador will continue to promote the two countries' friendship and comprehensive cooperation, particularly in economy, trade and science and technology.
Ambassador Diem repeated the Vietnamese President's invitation to President Abdul Kalam to visit Vietnam. The invitation was accepted with pleasure.
