Hanoi, Vientiane boost all-round cooperation
(VOV) - Hanoi and Vientiane will increase information and experience sharing to assist each other in various cooperative areas.
The agreement was reached during talks in Vientiane on December 8 between Pham Quang Nghi, Secretary of the Hanoi Municipal Party Committee, and Soukan Mahalath, Secretary of the Vientiane Municipal Party Committee.
They reviewed the results of cooperation between the two cities which they said has developed productively across various areas.
Every year the two cities maintain reciprocal visits to share experience and foster bilateral ties. Many cooperation projects have paid off, including the public lighting system in Vientiane, the Vientiane-Hanoi Friendship Vocational School, and the Vientiane Politics-Public Administration School.
Hanoi is assisting its partner in the agro-forestry, healthcare, education-training, and culture-information sectors.
The two sides agreed to raise bilateral relationship to a new height.
The Hanoi delegation began a four-day visit to Laos on December 8.
