Seminar on prospects of electronics in coming decade
VOV.VN - A seminar on the prospects of a Vietnam-Republic of Korea electronics private sector strategic partnership in the coming decade was held today (June 8) in Seoul, reported the Vietnam News Agency.
In his speech, the Vice Chair dilated at length on the opportunities it presents for an enhanced private sector alliance between the two countries in the years to come.
Vietnam Ambassador Vu Tu during his introductory speech gave a global perspective and said that without the catalytic action of electronics no human activity can grow. The contribution of electronics to industries such as agriculture, mining and defence is immense.
Electronics and the development of a Vietnam-Korea supply chain in the segment has a bright future, he noted, and went on to describe some of the immense opportunities for joint benefit in microprocessors, satellite communications, fibre-optic and computers.
He commented that he had barely scratched the surface for the potentialities of the two countries private sectors.
In his speech, Ambassador Tu gave a resume of the national perspective of electronics over the next decade and suggested the private sectors of the two countries could benefit from a well thought out coordinated and integrated approach for mutual benefit.
Together the countries, he averred, could implement a formulated set of industrial approvals, import tariff policies, fiscal and financial arrangements, research and development goals at the national level, and bilateral linkages between industry and educational institutions along with a vast array of other items to harness the benefits to the maximum extent.
