Another flight departing from Russia’s Khabarovsk is scheduled to land in Cam Ranh international airport in the south central city of Nha Trang and take off at 14:45 on December 16.

This is the first commercial flight from Russia’s Far East region to Cam Ranh airport. From now until March 2011, Vladivostok Air will operate 14 flights from the Russian cities of Khabarovsk and Vladivostok to Cam Ranh airport.

Igor Benlich, Vladivostok Air’s chief representative in the South East Asia region said that the airline considers Cam Ranh airport as an important destination in the Asia-Pacific region, adding that it will continue to maintain these routes and increase the number of flights.

Le Van Nghia, Vladivostok Air’s chief representative said that the opening up of the air route from Vladivostok to Khanh Hoa will be a starting point for a programme to develop tourism between Russia’s Far East and Khanh Hoa as well as Vietnam’s central region with its beautiful landscapes and beaches.

Currently, the airline plans to launch a flight schedule this winter and design campaigns to attract more passengers to Khanh Hoa. After that, the airline will set up a flight schedule for summer with the aim of establishing a regular international air route from the Far East region to Khanh Hoa.
