Gabriel Perez Tarrau, Cuban Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City, said this year’s celebrations took place at an important time for bilateral ties between Vietnam and Cuba, marked by the recent visit to the Latin American nation by Vietnamese Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.

The visit contributed to boosting the special friendship between the two countries, he added.
