A polystyrene plant worth US$50 million is expected to be built in Dzung Quat Economic Zone (EZ) in central Quang Ngai province.

A plan on building the plant has been agreed by the EZ Management Board and the Vietnam Chemistry Corporation.
The plant, with yearly capacity of 60,000 tonnes, will cover 12 ha in Dzung Quat EZ.

The EZ has recently attracted several FDI projects, including a US$200 million project of the Republic of Korea's Doosan Corporation and a US$12 million project of the UK's Amigos Company.

So far, 94 projects with a combined investment capital of US$4.5 billion have been licensed to operate  in Dzung Quat EZ with 30 projects already in place.
