Cuba’s Granma International on June 24 ran an illustrated article about Vietnamese AO/dioxin victims’ struggle for justice.

>> Ha Tinh launches campaign to help AO victims

The articles noted that over 10 years (1961-1971), the US army sprayed approximately 80 million litres of defoliants, mostly Agent Orange (AO) which contains dioxin, over Vietnam’s southern forests and farmland.

Nearly 5 million Vietnamese were exposed to the chemicals and three million have become victims of Agent Organge, including hundreds of thousands of second and third generation children living with deformities.

The Vietnam Association of Victims of Agent Orange (AO)/dioxin (VAVA) is calling on the international community to support Vietnamese AO victims’ struggle for justice.
