The five-member team includes Vu Thi Hang (women’s 48kg), Duong Thi Lan (women’s 55kg), Pham Thi Loan (women’s 59kg), Pham Van Co (men’s 60kg) and Can Tat Du (men’s 74kg).

Hang won silver at the recent Asian Junior Championships. She also competed at the world event in Bucharest, Romania, last year.

The five-day Thai event, which has drawn entrants from 50 countries, will last until September 9.
