The Cao Bang provincial People’s Committee held a conference on June 30 to review the border demarcation and marker planting along the land borderline between Vietnam and China.
After nearly eight years Cao Bang has completed the land border demarcation by planting 303 markers along the 332-km common borderline with Guangxi province while the Chinese side planted 329 markers.
In addition, Cao Bang cleared more than 1,000 hectares of land mines and built about 425km of road in the border area.
For these great efforts Cao Bang was awarded a third-class Labour Order by the State President.
