The campaign, which is taking place from July 13 to August 15, attracted the participation of 50,000 students, pupils and young people from the city.

Volunteers in the campaign will join activities in 322 communes in 24 districts in HCM City and detoxification centres in 10 provinces and cities in the Central Highland, east-southern and Mekong Delta regions, as well as in two neighbouring countries - Laos and Cambodia.

This year’s campaign will implement 15 key projects, with a focus on improving the rural road network, building compassionate houses, teaching informatics and foreign languages and providing free healthcare services for poor people.

Earlier, the Quang Tri Provincial Youth Union also organised a voluntary programme entitled “Quang Tri young people with the native land”.

The event aims to promote information dissemination, ensure traffic safety, protect the environment and prevent and reduce accidental injuries.
