Vietnam’s northern Hai Duong province and the French province of Seine-Saint-Denis inked a co-operative agreement at Seine-Saint-Denis provincial council’s headquarter on May 5.

Signatories were Bui Thanh Quyen, a member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Hai Duong provincial Party Committee and Herve Bramy, president of Seine-Saint-Denis provincial council.

Under the agreement, both sides will expand co-operation in various fields, including safe water supply and environmental sanitation, waste treatment and public healthcare services. The two provinces will give priority to promoting training activities, exchanging experts, sharing experience in administrative management, as well as improving French language skills for officers in Hai Duong province. They will also increase exchanges among young generations and further co-operate in cultural heritage preservation.

President of Seine-Saint-Denis provincial council Herve Bramy spoke highly of the co-operation potential between Hai Duong province and two French provinces of Montreuil and Seine-Saint-Denis. Both sides have successfully implemented co-operation projects in certain fields for the sake of mutual benefit, he noted.
