The 11-member squad will compete against 14 other teams in events such as jumping and running.

The team is comprised of elite national athletes who are set to complete at the coming Southeast Asian Games next year in Myanmar.

They include SEA Games decathlon champion Vu Van Huyen, high jump winner Tran Hue Hoa, and marathon silver medallist Pham Thi Binh.

However the top racer, Truong Thanh Hang, could not compete in the women's 800m due to an injury sustained earlier this month.
