Mexican Party leader visits Vietnamese doctors

(VOV) - National Coordinator of the Mexican Workers’ Party (PT) Alberto Anaya Gutierrez visited and extended New Year greetings to Vietnamese health experts working in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon state, on February 12. 

The PT leader thanked the Vietnamese doctors for their efforts in improving Mexican people’s health and contributing to the two countries’ relations since the launch of Vietnam’s first acupuncture centre in Mexico 10 years ago. 

He also spoke highly of the outcomes of his visit to Vietnam last November, achievements in bilateral cooperation projects, and the two Parties’ determination to expand cooperation in health, education, agriculture, publishing, training and the exchange of Party related tasks.
 
Doctors of the Central Acupuncture Hospital have been working in Mexico City and Monterrey city as part of a cooperation project between the PT and the Communist Party of Vietnam, and in Zacatecas city by agreement between the hospital and the Zacatecas Autonomous University. 

Over the last decade, Vietnamese acupuncturists have treated 200,000 Mexican patients. 

In Zacatecas city, the doctors treat children with disabilities and brain damage.
