Iran’s National Day observed in Hanoi

(VOV) -The Iranian Embassy in Vietnam gave a party on February 6 celebrating the 34th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution (February 11) and launching activities to mark 40 years of Iran-Vietnam diplomatic ties this year.

Ambassador Hossein Alvandi Behineh stressed that over the past 34 years, Iran has gained remarkable achievements in socio-economic and scientific-technological development.

He expressed pleasure at the growing ties between the two countries, announcing that a wide range of events, including a traditional Iranian music performance, a cultural week and a film festival, will be hosted by the embassy this year to celebrate bilateral diplomatic ties.

Deputy Foreign Minister Nguyen Phuong Nga praised Iran’s successful organization of the 16th Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) Summit in 2012, an organisation of which the Islamic nation is assuming the presidency role.

She hoped that the two countries’ friendship and cooperation will continue be strengthened for mutual benefits and for regional and global peace and development.
