Nearly 30,000 visitors to Hue during Tet
(VOV) - The former imperial city of Hue has welcomed almost 30,000 arrivals over the first three days of the Lunar New Year (Tet) festival.
Of the total, 8,000 were foreigners, mainly originating from France, the US, and Australia.
On February 12 or the second day of the festival, the central province of Thua Thien-Hue hosted the American cruise ship Celebrity Millennium at Chan May Port, bringing 2,100 passengers to the locality.
The passengers will tour Hue, Danang, and Hoi An.
Hue hopes to receive 2.5–3 million visitors by the end of 2013.
