Nearly 100 businesses attend Vietnam Farm Expo 2015
(VOV) - Nearly 100 businesses participated in the Vietnam Farm Expo 2015 on October 1 displaying their farm produce of VietGAP and GlobalGAP standards, as well as organic products at more than 200 pavilions.
This year’s fair also attracted equipment providers in the agricultural industry from Japan, India, and Taiwan (China).
Ho Chi Minh City Business Association President Huynh Van Minh said the five-day event aims to help businesses and farmers gain access to the best services and products for agricultural production, and promote science and technology applications, improve the quality and productivity, and enhance connectivity between local exporters and foreign partners.
Nguyen Phuoc Trung, Deputy Director of the HCM City’s Department of Agriculture and Rural Development emphasised that the city has advantages of scientific research and hi-tech applications throughout the agricultural industry. Therefore, the event offered a good opportunity for businesses and producers to share experience and approaches to the latest technologies, helping improve a competitive edge of Vietnam’s farm produce in the context of comprehensive international integration.
