(VOV) -A Vietnamese bride living in Korea has been killed by her Korean husband, who then committed suicide, leaving behind a five-month old baby.

Local police in the Hongchon district, Kangwon province, the Republic of Korea (RoK), reported that the body of Ngo Thi Nga was found on January 14 in the couple’s house in her private room and her husband’s body in a nearby warehouse.

Autopsy reports show that Ngo Thi Nga was strangled by her husband who then took a toxic chemical to kill himself.

Ngo Thi Nga was born in 1993 in Haiphong. She got married to a 36-year old Korean national and moved to the RoK in November 2012.

The Vietnamese Consulate General in the RoK is coordinating with the Vietnamese bride’s relatives and local government to continue investigating the case and complete burial services.
