National Assembly Vice Chairman Truong Quang Duoc praised Hong Kong's investments Vietnam while receiving a delegation of the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce, led by its Chairwoman Lily Chiang in Hanoi on May 21.

Vice Chairman Duoc said he was hopeful that considering their achievements recently, Vietnam and Hong Kong would make a greater effort to tap both sides' potential.

He said that as Hong Kong is located close to Vietnam and has vast experience in economic and financial management, it would be prudent to build on these strengths to improve their economic relationship.

Lily Chiang and her delegation expressed hope that there would be further improvement in Vietnam-Hong Kong commercial ties, particularly in the environment, finance and biotechnology fields.

The delegation plans to visit central Quang Nam province and Ho Chi Minh City in order to research investment opportunities in these fields.
