Former national champ called up to lead team for Davis Cup tie

The Vietnam Tennis Federation has called players to prepare for the coming international events.

Former national champion Do Minh Quan, who is undergoing a training course to become a coach in the US, will join the five-member men's team.

The 10-time national champion will take charge as the captain of the team for the Davis Cup Asian Zone 3 matches in April.

The squad will also include Vietnam's top player Ly Hoang Nam, who performed superbly in the second round of the Australian Open's junior championships in January.

Six female players will also be called at the same time. They will have a long-term training course to prepare for the Southeast Asian Games in Singapore this June.
