Vietnam ranked third at the Southeast Asian Age Group Swimming Championships which ended in the central coastal city of Da Nang on June 12, bringing home 14 gold, 11 silver and 12 bronze medals.
Thai swimmers took the championship title with 48 gold medals, followed by Singapore with 14 gold and 21 silver medals.

The three-day event attracted nearly 300 swimmers from Brunei, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam. The competitors divided into three age groups, U-12s, 13-14 and 15-17, competing for 122 sets of medals.
