Chinese tourists flock to Nha Trang

(VOV) - The number of Chinese tourists to Nha Trang city in 2015 was reported to reach about 180,000, a 5.5 times increase over last year’s figure, said deputy director of the central Khanh Hoa province’s department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Phan Thanh Truc.

Currently, some 19 travel agencies in Khanh Hoa province are operating tours for Chinese tourists. Meanwhile, everyday Cam Ranh international airport receives 10 direct flights full of visitors from China.

Ms Truc said the increase in the number of Chinese tourists is a positive sign. However, measures should be implemented to maintain a healthy atmosphere for the tourism industry.

Nha Trang coastal city is a political, economic, cultural and tourism centre of Khanh Hoa province. Apart from warm climate, the place is also famous for beautiful beaches and intact islands like Binh Ba and Binh Hung which have created favourable conditions for tourism development and attracted tourists, particularly Chinese recently, said Ms Truc.
