A delegation from the Czech House of Representatives led by its speaker Lubomir Zaoralek will pay an official visit to Vietnam from February 25-28.

The announcement was made by Foreign Affairs Ministry’s spokesperson Le Dzung at a regular press briefing in Hanoi on February 23.


The visit aims to strengthen friendship relations between Vietnam and the Czech Republic, especially co-operation between the two parliaments.

Speaker Zaoralek is scheduled to meet National Assemble Chairman Nguyen Van An and President Tran Duc Luong and visit Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.

 

*** Peru Foreign Minister O.M de Romana began a three-day visit to Vietnam on February 23. This is the first visit by a high-ranking official to Vietnam since Peru President Alberto Fujimori visited the country in 1998.


During the visit, the two sides will discuss measures to promote friendly co-operation, as well as regional and international issues of mutual concern.

Minister Romana will hold talks with his counterpart Nguyen Dy Nien and meet with President Tran Duc Luong and Minister of Trade Truong Dinh Tuyen.
