The PM issued a decision on July 9 to establish a State Steering Committee for Researching and Implementing Salary Reform Policy to maintain socio-political stability.

The committee will be responsible for reviewing and assessing the implementation of a five-year scheme on salary reform, social insurance, and allowances for the public.

It will also be in charge with working out similar projects in line with the country's market economy, and global economic integration.

The Permanent Deputy Prime Minister was appointed head of the committee while the Ministers of Home Affairs, Finance and Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs were appointed deputy heads.
