Officials from the ASEAN Regional Forum (ARF) members and regional and international organisations will gather in Singapore on May 3-4 to discuss ways to combat global terrorism.

The fifth ARF Meeting on Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime will be co-chaired by Singapore, Japan and Russia.

With a theme of global community dialogue, the meeting will focus on how cross-culture and cross-faith dialogue can help bridge differences across various communities, and contribute to the ongoing fight against terrorism.

ARF groups 10 ASEAN-member countries as well as Australia, Bangladesh, Canada, China, European Union, India, Japan, the Democratic Peoples' Republic of Korea, the Republic of Korea, Mongolia, New Zealand, Pakistan, Papua New Guinea, Russian Federation, East Timor and the United States.
