Hanoi to host New Year’s Eve flashmob

(VOV) - Thousands of people will take part in a flashmob on Dinh Tien Hoang street in downtown Hanoi from 10pm till midnight on February 9.

The event is arranged to welcome the traditional Lunar New Year (Tet) holiday which starts on February 10 this year and lasts several days.

Participants will join hands, dance and sing to the tune of music, hoping to stay out of trouble in the new year.

Hanoi’s Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism is seeking 500 volunteers to participate in the event.

Young people who are interested in the performance can find more information through website giaomua.vn. Selected volunteers will receive special gifts from the organising board.
