Vietnam aids Laos’ military training

Military gears and training programmes worth nearly VND577 million (US$26,200) were handed over to the Mapping Department of the Laos People’s Army by the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army (VPA) in Vientiane on December 8.

Speaking at the event, Colonel Thongchan Vannasi said the VPA’s Mapping Department has supported and provided numerous gears and training programmes to Laos in the past years, helping the country’s military and its mapping sector improve their professional competence.

The colonel asserted that the act featured the special bond between the two countries’ departments, militaries and people.

He also pledged to effectively make use of the package in a view to increasing the professional competence, contributing to protecting and developing the country.
