Hanoi’s key tasks in the 2006-10 period will focus on making drastic changes in Party building and rectification, promoting administrative reform, and developing cultural areas to welcome the 1000th anniversary of Thang Long-Hanoi.
At the second congress of the Hanoi Party Standing Committee on January 9, the city adopted nine key working programmes and agreed to implement major projects for 2006-2010.
The programmes aim to accelerate the international integration process, increase the competitive capacity of the capital city’s economy, and develop the areas of service, sciences and technology, education and training.
