Artists from Japan, the Republic of Korea, China and Vietnam will take part in the second Asian 16-chord zither concert to be held at the Labour and Cultural Palace and Ho Chi Minh City Conservatoire on September 1-4.

The concert will be co-organised by the Ho Chi Minh City Labour of Federation, the HCMC Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the HCMC Conservatoire.

During performances, professor Tran Van Khe will introduce special features of the 16-chord zither instrument.

The concert aims to preserve and promote this distinctive genre of traditional music. It also provides a good chance for Asian artists to meet and introduce their traditional music.
