Vietnam and Croatia have agreed on visa exemption for holders of diplomatic and official passports.

The agreement was signed in Hanoi on October 29 by Vietnam’s deputy minister of Foreign Affairs, Nguyen Thanh Son, and Croatian ambassador to Malaysia and Vietnam, Zeljko Bosnjak.

Addressing the signing ceremony, Mr Son and Mr Bosnjak said the agreement shows the strong commitment of both governments to facilitate travel for citizens and develop cooperative relations between the two countries.

They agreed that the agreement will play an important role in promoting the exchange of delegations, strengthening cooperation and boosting friendship between Vietnam and Croatia.

The agreement will take effect 30 days after one country receives a final announcement from the other country that is has completed all required procedures for visa exemption.
