The National Assembly will convene its 11th session in March 2007, which is expected to discuss and approve two bills and give opinions on two others in its law making programme, according to the NA Standing Committee.

The session will also examine the government's report on development and budget tasks for 2006 and launch the implementation of tasks for 2007.

The committee held its 45th session in Hanoi from December 13-15 to review the results of the 10th session of the legislative body in November and prepare for the next session. It appreciated efforts by the Government, NA deputies and related agencies as well as welcomed citizens and authorities from across the country in contributing to the success of the recent 10th NA session.

Deputies gave opinions on the draft decree on protecting important national security targets and other various decrees. They also expressed their viewpoints regarding the abrogation of administrative surveillance measure.
