VOV aims for multi-media platforms

(VOV) - Radio the Voice of Vietnam (VOV) will continue promoting the development of all forms of media – radio, TV, online and print – to turn it into a powerful consortium.

The statement was made by VOV Director General Nguyen Dang Tien at a conference in Hanoi on Jan. 23 to review the national radio’s tasks in 2014 and discuss orientations for 2015.

He laid emphasize on VOV’s key task to disseminate information on State policies, Party guidelines and people’s expectation.

VOV Deputy Director General Vu Hai praised great efforts of VOV officials and staff in their successful implementation of assigned missions last year. VOV successfully organised the 11th national radio broadcasting festival and its broadcasters have won prestigious prizes at national and international contests.

The radio also launched a TV channel focusing on National Assembly’s affairs and set up a representative office in the Czech Republic, Hai noted.

On this occasion, VOV leaders presented awards to most outstanding officials and journalists in recognition of their enormous contributions to the broadcasting industry.
