Singapore, southern province increase cooperation
(VOV) -Singaporean Ambassador to Vietnam Ng Tech Hean has reaffirmed his nation’s willingness to aid the southern province of Ben Tre in human resources training and boost its import of agro-aquatic products.
At a February 19 working session with provincial leaders, the Singaporean diplomat said his country is willing to train the province’s skilled professionals.
Singapore is in need of agro-aquatic products imported from Ben Tre and a Singaporean business has poured US$500,000 into purchasing the products, he said.
Ben Tre provincial People’s Committee Chairman Vo Thanh Hao, said his province boasts great potential for farm production and is ready to welcome Singaporean farm produce importers and investors specializing in high technology and green tourism.
Ben Tre is the 21 st Vietnamese province Tech Hean has visited to learn about investment opportunities since he worked in his capacity as ambassador.
