Vietnam will host a group of the World Women’s Volleyball Grand Prix at northern Vinh Phuc province’s Gymnasium from June 26-29.

The Vietnam Volleyball Federation made the announcement after meeting with the Asian Volleyball Conference (AVC) chairman of the Sports Events Council, Shanrit Nongprasert, in March.

The Grand Prix draws the participation of 12 top teams from Asia, Europe and America to compete in three groups with the five best going to the final round in Yokohama, Japan to compete for a grand prize of US$2 million.

Four teams in Group B, Brazil, Turkey, Kazakhstan and Germany, will compete in Vietnam for the first time.

Brazil will meet Kazakhstan, while Germany will face Turkey in the opening matches on June 26./.
