Global fever over Vietnam’s mobile games

(VOV) - Flappy Bird has surpassed Angry Birds or Candy Crush to become the world’s leading mobile game conquering mobile game market shares with downloads on iOS and Android phones in January 2013.

Instead of famous international gamers such as Rovio or Zynga, the game has been invented by a Vietnamese independent who lives in Hanoi.

The game developer is 29 year-old Nguyen Ha Dong who is now setting up an independent studio titled GEARS in Vietnam.

Dong said that he has been operating in the game field for four years, developing various simple games which take just a few minutes to play on smartphones or tablets.

Leading technology websites found ways to contact Dong through Twitter. Meanwhile, e Forbes and Tech Crunch said that Zynga wants to purchase Dong’s “Flappy Bird” at the price of several millions dollars.
