Outgoing Mongolian ambassador to Vietnam, Palam Sundev, paid a farewell visit to State President Truong Tan Sang on April 24 before officially ending his term of office in Vietnam.

President Sang praised Ambassador Sundev’s contributions to strengthening bilateral relations between the two nations, saying that Vietnam will always be a reliable friend and partner of Mongolia. He said he is pleased with the effective cooperation between the two countries at international forums and in various fields, particularly trade, education and training.

Vietnam is ready to share its development experiences and promote cooperation in  such areas as trade and investment to prepare for the Mongolian President’s upcoming visit to Vietnam.

Mr Sang said he hopes Mongolian president’s visit will further consolidate the friendship between the two nations.

Ambassador Sundev spoke highly of the fine development of bilateral relations, adding that trade ties have grown rapidly and both sides have set up a Vietnam-Mongolia Business Association to promote investment. He also thanked Vietnam for providing his country with food and ambulances, which shows the sentiments Vietnamese leaders and people hold towards Mongolia.

Mr Sundev said the upcoming visit to Vietnam by the Mongolian President will help strengthen relations between the two countries and he wished Vietnam will continue success and greater achievements in its process of national construction and development.
