The Japanese government will grant US$88,500 to the reconstruction of the Bui Thi Xuan primary school in Nghia An commune, Kbang district in the central highland province of Gia Lai.
The project is part of the Japanese government’s non-refundable aid programme, funding various projects in Vietnamese localities during the 2008 fiscal year.
Under the terms of a contract signed at a ceremony held in Hanoi on September 29, a two-storey, eight-classroom school will replace the former one which was built in 1985, helping to improve the quality of education for 500 primary pupils.
