The Republic of Korea (RoK) government has approved an official development assistance (ODA) programme for Vietnam, which includes the construction of a 500-bed hospital, according to the Korean International Cooperation Agency (KOICA).

Construction of the project is scheduled to start late this month in the central province of Quang Nam at an estimated cost of US$35 million. It will be the largest RoK funded ODA project in Vietnam.

KOICA will send experts to Vietnam to help with health care policies and train Vietnamese in medical technology.
