Ahn Tae Sung, press attache at the Republic of Korea (RoK)’s Embassy in Vietnam, was awarded the insignia “For peace and friendship between nations” on June 10.

This was the highest distinction given by the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organisations (VUFO) in recognition of Ahn Tae Sung’s contributions to promoting cooperative relations between the two countries, particularly in culture and education.

During his three-year term in Vietnam, Ahn Tae Sung has organised a number of activities including a RoK film week in Vietnam in celebration of the 15^th anniversary of diplomatic ties between the two countries.

He has also helped Vietnamese students to access scholarships.
