The Ministry of Health has recommended that the educational sector take precautions against A/H1N1 flu infection among students and pupils.
Teachers, students and school staff across the country should take good care of their health, each and every day, the ministry said in a statement on August 17.

If someone shows signs of illness such as fever, cough, and sore throat, he or she must stay at home, not go to school. They must also report immediately to their school leaders and local health authorities, the statement said.

The ministry has announced that 21 members of the Ho Chi Minh City College of Culture, Arts and Tourism’s delegation to Lao Cai province who were infected with the flu, have recovered and been discharged from hospital.

On August 17, another 56 people nationwide were confirmed positive with the flu, bringing the total number of cases of the super-flu in Vietnam to 1,510, and resulting in two fatalities.
