A delegation from the Vietnam Marine Department (Vinamarin) has made a working visit to the Netherlands.

The 30-member delegation visited Holland, one of the world’s greatest shipbuilding nations, from August 31 to September 4.

The delegation included leaders from Vinamarin as well as representatives of businesses specialising in seaport services, marine transportation, rescue, consultancy, shipbuilding, and marine logistics.

The delegation held meetings with the Ministry of Transportation, Public Works and Water Management of Holland, the Rotterdam Port, and a number of the country’s leading marine companies.
It also met with several members of the Holland Marine Equipment Association and the Rotterdam Port Promotion Council.

During the meetings, the Vietnamese shared experiences with their Dutch partners on several issues, including seaport development planning, inland waterway system planning, and personnel training for the marine sector.

The visit, by the biggest-ever delegation from the Vietnamese marine sector to the Netherlands, created an ideal opportunity for the two countries to cooperate with each other in the field.
