VJA delegation visits Laos
(VOV) - Lao Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism Bosengkham Vongdala on March 25 received Vice President of the Vietnam Journalists’ Association (VJA) Ma Dieu Cuong who is on a working visit to Lao from March 24-30.
Cuong said he is happy to witness rapid changes in Laos and briefed the Lao Minister on his talks with the Lao Journalists’ Association on the results of bilateral cooperation last year.
The two associations have closely worked together to cover the celebrations of the Vietnam-Laos Friendship and Solidarity Year 2012 with a view to raising public awareness of the need to preserve and develop the special relationship between the two nations, Cuong said.
Both sides have agreed to increase cooperation in professional exchanges at both central to local levels.
For his part, the Lao Minister asked the two associations to pay more attention to educating young generations about the two countries’ special relationship.
