The central province of Khanh Hoa on January 19 granted a license to a Japanese investor to run a seafood processing plant in Suoi Dau Industrial Park. This was the first license ever issued by the province in the field of industry in 2007.

The US$1.5-million plant which covers two hectares will be capable of processing 1,000 tonnes and preserving 3,000 tonnes of seafood per year.

The investor is committed to putting the plant into operation after its 12-month period of construction. The plant is expected to operate for 40 years.
