According to museum director Nguyen Thi Tinh, the papers, written in French, Russian and English, include President Ho’s photos, letters, manuscripts, autographs, copies of reports and speeches delivered at international forums from 1923 to 1952, as well as his personal papers relating to his activities between 1922 and 1923. They are part of a selection of more than 70,000 documents and objects on President Ho kept by 15 Russian archives.
"This was the first time we have collected such precious documents on President Ho, of them 30 percent have not been made public yet,” said Mrs Tinh, adding that all documents have been copied for research and display in Vietnam.
During the visit from November 25 to December 25, 2006, Vietnamese museum experts took photos of 13 places where President Ho was living and working from 1923 to 1938.
